Mickaël Doucet is french artist who lives and works in Paris, in France. He currently works with Marion Guggenheim in Lisbon; Artcan Gallery in Marseille; Cragallery in Turin; and Galerie Virginie Louvet in Paris and some other collaborations around the world. Curator Marion Guggenheim describes Doucet’s work as “something luxurious. But the luxury of being alone in free spaces, something rare in our urban reality.” Doucet depicts interiors inspired by the most remarkable villas and minimalist architecture featuring striking contemporary furniture. No inhabitant is featured but some details reveal a presence with the addition of everyday objects left behind. As the environments are completely deserted, the viewer is free to imagine himself in the space.
