I have always been drawing and painting, even as a child, art was my voice and my way of exploring my inner world. Through drawing and painting I could create a world that felt more real to me than the external world and this has never changed. Regardless of the outcome, art for me is an exploratory process. One where I can navigate my deeper intuitive responses and get in touch with my subconscious aesthetic needs. As I play and explore the materials, I always let my intuition guide me. The mind is extremely complex, and many aspects of our experience are stored in the subconscious realms. I believe art is a way to access and explore these deeper internal worlds. Each exploration through a new piece opens another door into another mode of perception. While in our culture, there is a collective consensus to what the world is, I believe, that this is all a construct. I have always felt a need to explore my own vision as opposed to upholding the ideas of the culture.
